some of the details is wrong. for eg: take 679101, it is ottappalam. and you have given that the district is thrissur. but actually it is palakkad. there are lots of same mistake.
how can i get a correct one ?

very bad listings check this Kuttanad *679533 Alappuzha Palghat Kerala in your listings it is given that kuttanad is in alappuzha district and city is palghat.... ?????????????

First of all, my sincere appology for posting a file full of errors in this forum. But dear friend, though it was not created by own, I dont want to insult that unknown author. Because this type of sourcing need some real hard work , to compile all those datas. So, my un known author, hats off you..Great work.

if you know that it is full of errors, then what is the use of that file ? how can i use it ? because when i checked with known pincodes, it was wrong.

If a blank white paper with a tiny dot in middle of the paper is shown to the people, asking them that what do they find...... some people would say that they have seen a black dot, leaving such a spacious white paper behind (leaving a good thing and identifying & focussing on...). Hmm... Anyways........ nice posting..... Keep sharing...

Kolkata Pin Code List Free Download Gratuit

The India Post uses Postal Index Number (PIN) or Pin code in its post office numbering. This Pin Code is six digits long. The current system of Pin codes was introduced for the first time on August 15, 1972. This system of PIN was brought-in to make the manual sorting and delivery system of mail simple as it helps in removing confusion over incorrect addresses, similar names of places and use of several languages by people. There are eight regional PIN zones and one functional PIN zone (for the Indian Army) in India, making it a total of nine PIN zones. The first digit of the PIN code indicates the zone (region), the second indicates the sub-region, while the third digit indicates the sorting district within the region, and the final three digits refer to the delivery Post Office.
The following are the 9 PIN zones that cover the Indian states and union territories:
1 - Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Chandigarh
2 - Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand
3 - Rajasthan, Gujarat, Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli
4 - Goa, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh
5 - Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana
6 - Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry, Lakshadweep
7 - Odisha, West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Meghalaya, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Assam, Sikkim
8 - Bihar, Jharkhand
9 - Army Post office (APO) and Field Post office (FPO)
